Getting research help from the librarians:
- Liaison Librarian to the School of Health Sciences: Ying Yu
- email: yyu@columbiabasin.edu
- or use Canvas inbox to email Ying if she is listed in your course
-
- You can also email: library@columbiabasin.edu (This email is monitored whenever the main library is open, even during breaks and summer quarter.)
- Health Sciences Library phone: (509) 544-8336
- Stop by the front desk in person during our open hours
- or make an appointment with Ying to meet either in person or via Zoom
-
Chat with a Librarian service is available 24x7.
- The "Chat with a Librarian" window is available both on the library homepages and your OneSearch search results page.
-
A CBC librarian is monitoring chat Monday through Thursday 8am to 4pm and Fridays 8am to noon during the quarter.
-
All other times, a non-CBC librarian will be helping you. They can login to our databases and they are usually expert searchers and are familiar with popular databases. When using the service during a busy time or in the middle of the night, after sending your question, if you don’t get immediate response, wait for a couple minutes before closing the window because there is always someone on call.
-
You can choose to have the transcript emailed to you with all the links and a CBC librarian can follow up with you on the next day if needed.
