Important Things to Know About Registration
There are some really important things to keep in mind when registering for classes:
1: As a Running Start student, your tuition is covered by your high school, but you are still responsible for quarterly fees.
-
-
-
- If you are on free or reduced lunch at the high school, your fees will be waived
-
-
2: If you decide you’d like to take more than the number of tuition-free credits your high school has agreed to pay for (see Enrollment Verification Form for approved credits), you certainly can, but you will be charged full tuition for any credits beyond the amount they’ve approved.
-
-
-
- If you are free or reduced lunch at the high school, you are eligible to take more than the approved credits
-
-
3: Don’t forget that tuition is only covered for college-level courses, so if you’re registered for a below college-level course (numbered below 100), you’ll be charged full tuition and fees.
If you are eligible for free and reduced lunch at your high school, email a copy of your lunch eligibility letter to Running Start at runningstart@columbiabasin.edu, so that your fees can be waived. However, if you attend a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) high school, you do not need to submit a copy of your lunch eligibility letter, your fees will automatically be waived.
